In a saucepan, heat the butter and a pinch of salt over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add in the marshmallows. Allow the marshmallows to melt completely, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and pour the mixture into a large bowl.
½ cup unsalted butter, 2 cups mini marshmallows, pinch of salt
Add the cereal to the bowl and fold the cereal with a spatula until well combined. Pour in the chocolate chips and fold in gently as well.
6 cups cocoa rice krispies cereal
Line your square 8x8 square pan with parchment paper. Pour the cereal mixture into the pan and push it down firmly with a spatula until it fills all corners evenly. Sprinkle on as many Halloween sprinkles as you desire.
⅓ cup dark chocolate chips, ¼ cup Halloween sprinkles
Chill the pan in the fridge for about one hour or until the rice krispies feel firm and set. Remove from the pan, slice and enjoy.
