- Perfect for topping: Try whipped cream, candied pecans, or a drizzle of maple butter.

Ingredients for Pumpkin Spice Waffles
Here’s what to add to your grocery list:
- all-purpose flour
- baking powder
- baking soda
- salt
- granulated sugar
- all the ground spices: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and allspice
- whole milk
- 3 eggs
- pumpkin puree – make sure you don’t purchase pumpkin pie filling!
- unsalted butter
And here is the waffle maker that I use (I like the squares, personally!).

Tips for Perfect Pumpkin Waffles
- Don’t overmix the waffle batter – Whisk until just combined. It will help keep your waffles fluffy.
- Use real pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. Get organic pumpkin pie puree if you can, which tends to be extra delicious.
- Double the recipe and freeze extras – you can then reheat them by toasting them straight from the freezer.

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Waffles
Let’s make them together!
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin, melted butter, eggs and milk.

Step 2
Add in the flour, spices, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix until just combined and most of the lumps are gone.

Step 3
Grease the waffle iron with butter. Once the iron is hot, add about 1 cup of batter to the iron at a time, spreading it out evenly before closing the lid. Cook the waffles until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Then remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining batter. Serve with butter and syrup!
